TONGO-GO steel tongue drum 12" Large, blue - 8 tongues, G to G" - G major scale.

A steel tongue drum is a round, hollow body made of steel. Its surface has vibrating recesses (tongues).

The drums are very melodic and known for their relaxing sounds and ease of playing, which requires no special technique.

The steel tongues can be played with the hands or with padded mallets, thus promoting an initial sense of rhythm.

When played with the hands, it produces a gentle, soothing, pleasantly resonant sound.

Playing with the mallets amplifies the sound and resonance, and makes the individual notes resonate beautifully.

Includes an accompanying booklet with simple rhythmic melodies. Also included are colored dots to stick onto the tongues for playing with colored notes.
