How quickly can you bump yourself or get a little tummy ache? It's helpful to have some willing helpers for cooling or warming. These fun monsters provide quick and easy relief. The special thing is that even a cold monster (straight from the freezer) remains cuddly and molds itself to the bump, joint, or other area, making it very comfortable to use.
Follow these tips to help the monsters with their healing task.
As a heat pack... wrap the monster in a paper towel or cloth and place it in either a warm/hot water bath or microwave (e.g., 800 watts, 15 seconds). In the microwave, you can adjust the temperature by varying the cooking time. Remember that the heat will penetrate the skin more deeply, so be careful of potential burns! Adult supervision is always recommended. Of course, the monsters also make fantastic hand or foot warmers during the colder months.
As a cooling pad... place the monster in the refrigerator or freezer. Be careful of freezer burn when using it. Do not leave the monster on any one area of skin for more than 20 minutes.
Simply clean the monster with soap, detergent, or a disinfectant wipe. The monster is for external use only. For longer shelf life, you can store the monsters in the freezer. Children should only use the monsters under adult supervision. If a monster is "broken," do not swallow the contents or continue using the monster. Then dispose of the monster in the gray monster bin (trash can).
